On Monday, December 7th 2020, AKTOR signed a contract with Thessaloniki Water Supply (EYATH S.A) for the provision of Operation and Maintenance services to the Thessaloniki Wastewater Treatment Plant, with a budget of €64,510,560 (excluding VAT).
This is a five-year (5) contract with the option for an extension of one (1) year, which in addition to the provision of a series of operation and maintenance services, includes, among others, significant interventions for the modernization and operational upgrade of the facility.
Under the contract, AKTOR undertakes the supply of the appropriate equipment, as well as the execution of the necessary works for the energy optimization of the facility and the achievement of the high energy goals which have been set by EYATH, thus significantly upgrading the facility for the benefit of the environment and the public.
The subsidiary of ELLAKTOR Group holds a leading position in wastewater treatment projects, thanks to the extensive experience it has gained in the construction of treatment plants in Greece, Serbia, Romania, Turkey, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, Colombia and others.
This project is another confirmation of the high know-how developed by AKTOR in the field, following the already successful construction, as well as the multi-year operation and maintenance of the Psyttalia Wastewater Treatment Plant, one of the largest and most technologically advanced constructions in the field at an international level.
