Dimitrios Kallitsantsis is one of the founders of ELLAKTOR S.A. He is also a founder and active member of various companies in the construction and energy industries, also involving public concessions projects.
From 1982 he served as Vice President at Elliniki Technodomiki S.A. In 1999 following the capital stock collaboration agreement between AKTOR S.A. and Elliniki Technodomiki S.A. he became Managing Director of AKTOR S.A. and remained in this role until November 2016. In parallel, following the transfer of the construction divisions of Elliniki Technodomiki S.A. and TEV S.A. to AKTOR S.A., he was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of ELLAKTOR S.A.
During his tenure as Managing Director of AKTOR, having the responsibility of building projects, he completed emblematic projects such as the Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Village and the International Broadcasting Centre for the 2004 Olympic Games, the Athens Concert Hall, Acropolis Museum and the Costa Navarino Resort. He has also completed significant projects in the UAE, Oman and Qatar.
Dimitrios Kallitsantsis is a Greek national and an architect with a degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1975).
Bill Halkias was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of “AKTOR CONCESSIONS SA” in August 2018 while prior to this and since February 2008 he was a member of the BoD. He is the Managing Director of the Attiki Odos Operation and Maintenance Company (Attikes Diadromes S.A.) since its inception in 1998. Currently, he holds the position of Managing Director of “Aegean Motorway SA” and is a member of the BoD of “Olympia Odos Operation SA”.
Halkias served as President (2014–2019) of the Hellenic Association of Toll Road Network (“HELLASTRON”), founded in 2014 with the participation of all motorways and toll infrastructure in Greece. He also served as President (2018-2019) of ASECAP, the Association of European Toll Motorways. Since May 2019, he is the President of the International Road Federation (IRF) and a member of the BoD of the International Bridge Tunnel Turnpike Association (IBTTA). He also served as President (2010-2012) of the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (H.ITE).
He is a Rular and Surveying Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (1981), with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (1984).
Georgios Syrianos is Chairman of AKTOR CONCESSIONS S.A., while at the same time he holds managerial positions in motorway Concession companies.
He studied Civil Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens.
He worked from 1977 until 1981 as freelancer in the private sector on the design and construction of various technical projects, while from 1981 until 1989 he worked in the General Secretariat for Public Works of the Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works.
Since 1990, he joined the private sector in the positions of General Manager or Technical Director in several major construction companies with the object to construct complex technical works of all kinds (PATHE and EGNATIA motorways, railway projects, Olympic projects, tunnels, dams etc.).
Since 2007, he has been actively involved in the management of major concession projects (MOREAS, OLYMPIA ODOS, etc.).
He is Chairman of the Association of the Technical Companies of the Highest Classes (STEAT) for years and he was also member of the Board of Directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (E.B.E.A.).
Alexandros Exarchou, Managing Director of AKTOR, distinguished lawyer, has significant experience in negotiating corporate contracts, such as Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, Shareholders Agreements and Share Sale Agreements. Alexandros Exarchou has been involved in well-known BOT projects in Greece (Metro of Thessaloniki, Rion-Antirrion Bridge, Athens Metro Project, Olympic Airways S.A. Maintenance and Repair Hangar, Egnatia Odos, Piraeus Port, Athens International Airport, Macedonia Airport New Terminal, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, Costa Navarino) and abroad (Mafraq STP Abu Dhabi, Blue City Oman etc.)
Alexandros Exarchou has a bachelors’ degree from the School of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a diploma in English Legal Studies and a Master of Laws degree from the School of Law of the University of Manchester.
Vassiliki (Valy) Niatsou is an attorney at-law and is working for the ELLAKTOR Group since 1995. She was involved in the public works projects for seven years. In 2012 she was the Head of Legal of the environment sector until December 2018, while in 2015 she was appointed the Head of Legal of ELLAKTOR S.A. until July 2018. In 2008 she was appointed the Head of Legal of the concessions sector. She is participating in the Board of Directors of AKTOR Concessions since 2007 and in the Board of Directors of HELECTOR S.A. since 2012, respectively.
She has over twenty years of international experience, specialization and know how in concession projects and in the financing of high standard infrastructure projects in Greece and abroad, as she was involved in the participation in public tenders, negotiation, signing and financing of significant concession contracts, such as indicatively: the Athens Ring Road (Attiki Odos), the Korinthos-Tripoli-Kalamata Motorway, the Patra-Pyrgos-Tsakona Motorway, the Cyprus Airport, Casino Mont Parnes privatization, the development of the Afandou Golf in Rhodos, the Pafos-Poli Motorway in Cyprus, the Mafraq Ghweifat Motorway, the Comarnic-Brasov Motorway in Romania, the Greek Regional Airports, the Development of the Alimos Marina, the Egnatia Motorway, the Waste treatment facility in St Petersburg Russia, the Waste treatment facility in Kozani and other waste treatment and infrastructure PPP projects in Greece and abroad.
She studied law in the University of Athens (1992), tax law in the Athens University of Economics and Business and business administration in the Henley Business School.
Marilena Nitsopoulou has many years of experience as Financial and Administrative Director in multinational and domestic companies in various market sectors. She has worked in IT, telecommunication, construction, courier and concession companies.
Since 1996 she held managerial position at Intracom Group. She has significant experience in organizing-monitoring the operation of financial departments, in the control-monitoring of listed companies, in techno-economic/financial studies and in the strategic planning of the economic activities of enterprises.
From 2008 until today she is the Chief Financial Officer of the ELLAKTOR Group’s Concession Companies, with extensive experience in financial monitoring of Concession projects.
Marilena Nitsopoulou holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of London Royal Holloway, PG Diploma at Applied Mathematics University of London Kings College and MSc. in Operational Research at the University of Strathclyde.
Antony Hadjioannou is the Deputy Group CFO of the ELLAKTOR Group of companies, the leading Greek construction – infrastructure group.
Antony Hadjioannou has extensive experience in financial services in Greece and internationally both at corporates and in banking.
He has been with the ELLAKTOR group since 2007 holding the position of Group Treasurer also supervising the investor relations department.
Before joining the ELLAKTOR group he worked for Shell Company Hellas, Kantor Management Consultants and National Bank of Greece (based in Athens, Greece) and UBS Investment Bank (based in London). Antony Hadjioannou holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Athens Economic University (ASOEE) and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management – Erasmus University (The Netherlands). He is married with two children.
