Iordanis Aivazis has worked at senior positions (General Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and Member of the Board) with various banks in Greece as well as in the industry with OTE S.A. (subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom), where he was a member of Deutsche Telekom’s European Management Board.
Furthermore, Iordanis Aivazis has been a member of Board of Directors of various Greek listed companies.
Currently, he is a Chairman (non-executive) of HCL, an offshoot of Davidson Kempner and Bain Capital Credit – for the latter he serves as a Special Adviser for Greece. Iordanis Aivazis is also a non-executive Director of Frigoglass S.A. and Regency Entertainment S.A.
Iordanis Aivazis holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Athens and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and M.A. in Marketing and Finance from University of Lancaster. He speaks English and French.
Michael Katounas is currently the Deputy CEO of QInvest LLC, one of the leading Middle Eastern investment groups based in Qatar.
He has more than 20 years of international experience having worked in London, Dubai, Doha, Amsterdam and Athens.
Prior to joining QInvest, Michael Katounas held positions at Credit Suisse, ABN Amro, Procter & Gamble and Shell Oil with experience in debt and equity principal investments as well as M&A, corporate finance and restructuring transactions. He has completed transactions with a total value of more than US$50bn throughout his career.
He currently holds a number of Board roles including on the Board of Directors of Panmure Gordon PLC, Intercat Hospitality LLC and PraxiaBank (ex. CrediCom). He also serves on the Board of Governors of Doha College.
Michael Katounas graduated with a Master of Science in International Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the UK Institute of Directors and a graduate of INSEAD’s International Directors Programme.
Diana Markaki is Global Director at Gategroup, responsible for $1 billion worth of fixed assets in more than 60 countries and has delivered numerous major construction projects globally, leading multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
Before joining Gategroup she held leadership positions at the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), a project of significant geopolitical importance, at the company’s headquarters in Switzerland.
She is a lawyer by trade with more than 15 years’ experience at international law firms, as corporate General Counsel in leading companies both in Greece and abroad, as well as Executive Manager in large corporations in Switzerland. She has advised major international companies on debt and equity raising, IPOs & rights issues, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, project financing and corporate restructuring.
She served as Programme Consultant at the United Nations Development Programme (UDP) in New York, as well as member of the support team for the 2005 UN World Summit.
She has a Law degree and LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Athens. She is an Executive MBA candidate at Harvard Business School.
Diana Markaki is based in Switzerland and is a member of the Women Corporate Directors foundation and the 2020 Women on Boards campaign.
