Through the development of the iconic Cambas Park in Kantza of Attica, REDS, a member of ELLAKTOR Group, will bring a new philosophy that mixes culture and entertainment with office, retail, hospitality and leisure facilities, with an investment of €200 million.
Τhe project combines the promotion of the rich historical identity of the Camba’s winery, with modern and high quality office spaces, retail establishments and restaurants, hospitality, sports and wellness facilities, as well as a wide range of entertainment and cultural activities.
More specifically, the 18% of the project’s total area consists of built surface, a 60% of landscape areas and a 22% of parking. Regarding the mix of uses, it is estimated that new buildings will be constructed in an area of 79,700 sq.m, while there will be 53,115 sq.m available to Open air spaces and Piazzas out of the 138,815 sq.m. of Cambas Park. The new buildings will include Office Spaces (51,220 sq.m.), Hotel & Conference center (area 12,180 sq.m.), as well as Retail spaces & Amenities (16,400 sq.m.). At the same time, an area of 24,770 sq.m. will consist of places of cultural interest and in particular the old Listed Winery Buildings, which will be restored to host Leisure and Cultural uses, significantly enriching the unique character of the development.
The Central Plaza, a wide, open space, dominated by greenery and water element, walking routes, and a large number of seating areas will have a prominent place in Cambas Park. The Central Plaza, in the middle of which an artificial lake will be developed, is expected to host a number of outdoor events and activities, while it will also include a elements such as a flower garden, an urban farm, an eco pavilion, a skate park, as well as an amphitheater for guests to relax and watch events.
There will also be several outdoor and indoor sports venues, including Running Tracks that will cut across the Central Plaza, while the plan also includes a restaurant near the lake, a cafe, a Wine Museum and a Chapel. Moreover, a hotel, which will combine luxury with sustainability, will be developed, including facilities such as restaurants, bars, swimming pool, wellness center, as well as a conference center around a nature-filled atrium.
The rest of the development’s buildings will mix modern and flexible offices and shops, while a complex of cinemas and dining areas will also be developed in Cambas Park, located next to the amphitheater park and opposite to the hotel.
Every aspect of Cambas Park is based on the most up-to-date sustainability principles. More specifically, the buildings of Cambas Park are expected to achieve the lowest possible emissions and significant energy savings, securing the internationally recognized LEED certification. At the same time, priority will be given to the extensive use of Renewable Energy Sources for the park’s energy needs, while the sustainable nature of the project will be enhanced by the optimal use of natural resources, the use of certified building materials, treatment and recycling technologies for water and waste management, as well as the open “green” spaces that encourage “green” transportation and the protection of biodiversity.
Mixed Use Development
